The Firm A well-established and steadily growing accounting firm based in Sutherland is currently seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to join their team. The Role This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the Partners. The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients, oversee workflow, conduct client meetings, and provide mentorship to junior and intermediate team members. Key Responsibilities: Managing a diverse client portfolio including family groups, SMEs, and ASX-listed entities Reviewing tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals Working closely with the Partners to meet client deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes Mentoring and supervising junior staff, including workflow management and development Leading client meetings and offering strategic advice on tax, compliance, and business planning Driving internal improvements and participating in firm-wide projects and initiatives Liaising with the ATO and ASIC on behalf of clients Promoting a positive team culture and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives Requirements: CA or CPA qualification Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public practice, with at least 1–2 years in a management or supervisory capacity Strong technical expertise in compliance, tax, and business advisory Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks; familiarity with APS or Virtual Cabinet is highly regarded Excellent communication and client relationship management skills High attention to detail and a professional, proactive attitude Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor others Benefits: Flexibility within standard office hours (8am–5pm) Open to both full-time and part-time applicants Supportive and team-oriented workplace culture Monthly recognition awards and corporate incentives Regular social and networking events Ongoing professional development and training Opportunities to contribute to business growth initiatives Exposure to a broad and diverse client base, including ASX-listed companies This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a well-respected firm that values leadership, autonomy, and team culture.
